Because snakes continue growing throughout their lives, they never stop shedding their skin. however, young snakes will shed more frequently because they are growing at a more rapid rate than older snakes. on average, snakes will shed their skin four to eight times yearly.. A snake will shed its skin as long as it's growing, and snakes grow all through their lives. thus, a snake will never stop shedding until death. with that being said, the frequency of snake shedding will certainly change during the snake's life..
